Goldfish Lymphocystis

Is a virus that is caused by a iridovirus. Crusty gray and white bumps develop on the fins and skin of the goldfish. These bumps are actually clusters of enlarged cells. This disease is viral but can also be triggered due to stress, poor handling or bad water quality. Lymphocystis rarely kills fish, but keep in mind that the lesions can become infected.

Treatment for Lymphocystis

If you have infected goldfish, remove them and keep them in isolation. There is no known treatment for lymphocystis.
